01the agreement

these terms are between you and kenn, who runs kenn.pro, its subdomains, and the third-party apps hosted under kenn.to that you sign into with a kenn.pro account. by creating an account or using the service you agree to them. if you don't agree, don't use it.

02your account

• you need to be at least 13 years old.
• you sign in through google, github or discord. keeping that account secure is your responsibility, and what happens under your kenn.pro account is yours too.
• your username is unique and yours while your account exists. it must not impersonate someone else, contain slurs, or be chosen to mislead. we may reclaim usernames that break this or that belong to inactive accounts after a long time.
• one person, one account, unless we've said otherwise.

03what you can't do

• harass, threaten, or abuse other people, or post content that's illegal, hateful, or sexualises minors
• upload anything you don't have the right to share
• attack, probe, overload, or interfere with the service or anyone else's use of it
• scrape or bulk-collect other users' data
• use bots or automation to fake activity, presence, or engagement
• try to get around a suspension or a ban

we decide what crosses the line. we'll try to be fair and to explain, but we're not obliged to warn first when something is serious.

04your content

what you make is yours. we don't claim ownership of your notes, clips, posts or uploads. by putting them on the service you give us the permission we need to store, process, and show them to the people you've shared them with, and to make backups. that permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups that expire within 30 days.

you're responsible for what you post. if someone tells us your content infringes their rights we may remove it, and we'll tell you.

05hosted apps

some things under kenn.to are third-party software we host and let you sign into with your kenn.pro account. those apps have their own licences and behaviour that we don't control. we keep them running and updated on a best-effort basis; if one turns out to be unsafe we may take it down at short notice.

06paid features

if we offer paid features, the price, what's included, and how to cancel will be shown before you pay. payments are taken by a payment processor under their terms; we don't see your card details. refunds are at our discretion unless the law says otherwise.

07the service itself

kenn.pro is a personal project run by one person. it's provided as-is and as-available. we don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost, though we take backups and try hard. features may change or disappear. we may limit use to keep things fair for everyone.

08ending things

you can delete your account at any time. we can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if the service or a part of it shuts down; where we can, we'll give notice and time to export your content. sections about content, liability and law survive the end of the agreement.

09liability

to the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the service, and our total liability to you is limited to what you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £50 if you've paid nothing. nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

10law

these terms are governed by the law of england and wales, and disputes go to its courts, though if you live elsewhere in the uk or the eu you keep any protection your local law gives you.

11changes

we may update these terms. for changes that matter we'll say so on the site before they apply. continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
